The Best Cabo Airbnbs FAQ
What is the best area to stay in an Airbnb in Cabo?
For walkability and nightlife, stay near the Marina, Médano Beach or Pedregal.
For quiet and space, look at the Tourist Corridor or San José del Cabo.
Is Cabo San Lucas or San José del Cabo better for an Airbnb?
Cabo San Lucas is the livelier option, with lots of things to do, the marina, boat tours, beach clubs and abundant nightlife.
San José del Cabo offers a more laid-back option, with a historic downtown and thriving arts district.
They both have amazing Airbnb options, so it really comes down to what you’re looking for — lively vs laid back.
Is it safe to stay in an Airbnb in Cabo?
The main tourist areas of Cabo are considered safe — though you do need to exercise normal travel precautions.
As safety is a feeling, not a fact, and therefore a complex topic, read my dedicated article on this subject: Is Cabo San Lucas Safe?
Do Cabo Airbnbs have private pools?
Many villas do, especially the large homes in Pedregal and the Cabo Corridor.
Most condos have shared pools or rooftop pools, and some offer complimentary use of nearby resort pools.
Do I need a car in Cabo?
Not if you’re just planning to stay near the Cabo Marina or Médano Beach.
A car helps if you take Cabo day trips to explore San José del Cabo, Todos Santos, and beyond.
If you want one, get your Cabo rental car at the airport when you arrive, as the airport is about 30-45 minutes from Cabo San Lucas.
